Ref

We have a lesson about the template or reference list entries and parenthetical citations yesterday. In essay, you have to mention the source of data or quotation if that are not from your original idea. There are three meanings of footnote, reference, or bibliography. It is about the knowledge of the writer, crosschecking, and the appreciation.

The first, reference reflects the knowledge of the writer. If you put many of reference, it means you’ve know about it. At least, you have read the cited page, chapter, or even you have read entirety of book to be able to comprehend conclusion totally.

Then, the reference bibliography is useful for crosschecking. Reference can support the idea that we suggest to the reader. That support in the form of the words from experts or data that produce from research of institute or someone. If there are some readers doubt of your idea, they can check it to the original book or the source.

The last is about the appreciation. If you put the people name that you take their opinion, or their research data, it means that you esteem them. You give a respect on their idea, their words, and their works. It also means that you’re not a plagiator.
